With our Support Services, we aim to not only support you to assist you in developing everyday life skills that increase independence and control. By focusing on your own specific goals, we can support you to gain the skills you need to achieve greater independence both in the community and in your home, confidence in yourself and your ability and control over what you can do. Building everyday skills not only allows you to be more independent, it also builds a greater sense of self-esteem. This support provides training in the skills you need to manage daily life activities, increase communication and social skills, build capacity, solve problems and manage funding.
Domestic assistance – We can offer domestic assistance which includes basic household tasks such as house cleaning, laundry, dishes, ironing, bed making and basic repairs. We can also prepare meals, and assist in planning menu’s and nutritional education as well as aiding you in paying bills and setting routines
High intensity domestic care – we can offer support in high intensity domestic are which includes changing catheter, administering oral medication and IV injection , showering, dressing ,tube feeding, toileting, grooming and administering medication
Gardening and yard maintenance – we can offer gardening and yard maintenance which includes mowing, hedge trimming, pruning and general basic garden maintenance
We can offer assistance with all daily tasks such as cooking, personal hygeine, and pet grooming/activity
Social Support – our Social support staff can assist you with support when going to appointments, social outings, grocery/recreational shopping
Community participation support – we can offer support when engaging in community activities such as going to see a movie, trying a local hobby or craft group, volunteering, dining out, or visiting the library
Transport – we have transport services in place to aid you in going to appointments, social outings, grocery/recreational shopping
Life Skill Support – our staff can aide you in developing life skills, life skills include things such as budgeting, travel planning, use of social media and technology and discovering hobbies
Centre and Group Activities
We can offer support when attending centre and group activities such as Drumming/Music classes, Movie and book clubs, Mindfulness and relaxation, Amateur make-up classes, Manicure and pedicure classes and women’s social club
